Thank you for accepting and completing the challenge to expand your learning, allyship and action as we unite to create a more equitable Greater Atlanta for all, regardless of race or zip code.
You took this important journey and participated with more than 4,000 individuals. We are grateful you allowed us to guide you through often uncomfortable conversations, the reliving of life experiences and the creation of “ah-ha” moments.
As an organization, United Way of Greater Atlanta understands that equity of race, gender, sexuality and zip code is in the DNA of our child well-being work. Breaking down systemic barriers and institutions rooted in racism is key to eliminating disparities and improving the lives of children and families throughout Greater Atlanta. As we close out the challenge, let’s continue to unite for more equity and child well-being in our communities. On this final day of United Way of Greater Atlanta’s 21-Day Racial Equity Challenge, we encourage you to reflect, share and continue to take action.
Today in Greater Atlanta nearly 500,000 children live in communities lacking the basic opportunities and resources needed to thrive. Lives born with pure potential are too often offset by the disparities that a zip code or race produces, holding us back for an equitable Greater Atlanta.
